Hydrogenious LOHC is part of “Team Energiewende Bayern”
Erlangen, Germany. Hydrogenious LOHC has been appointed as a supporter of the Team Energiewende Bayern (team energy transition in Bavaria) by Dr Stefan Simon and Joachim Fahsl of the regional Government of Middle Franconia.
The Team Energiewende Bayern initiative was established in 2020 by the Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs. It aims to provide objective and reliable guidance on the energy transition and inspire people and institutions to get involved through projects and campaigns.
“We are very happy to be part of the team and to contribute to advancing the energy transition,” said Hydrogenious’ CEO Dr Andreas Lehmann upon receiving the award. “Especially in times when the road ahead is a little bumpier, it is important to continue moving forward courageously with innovations that will help us secure a reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy supply.”
There are many promising technological approaches that will advance the energy transition. Hydrogenious LOHC’s technology uses benzyltoluene as a liquid organic hydrogen carrier (LOHC) to enable the storage and transport of hydrogen using existing liquid fuel infrastructure. This approach provides a secure and scalable way to integrate hydrogen into the energy system, facilitate large-scale imports and to supply industrial off-takers close to ports or in areas without hydrogen pipeline access.
