Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies named on the Global Cleantech 100 for the sixth time

San Francisco, CA / Erlangen, Germany. Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies, the German pioneer in storing and transporting hydrogen in Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carriers (LOHC), has once again been named on the Cleantech Group’s Global Cleantech 100. Now in its 15th year, this annual list serves as a definitive guide to the top companies making significant contributions to sustainable innovation – and this year marks Hydrogenious’ sixth time on the list.

The Global Cleantech 100 is a comprehensive showcase of the most promising private companies in the cleantech ecosystem. Selected through a rigorous evaluation process, the companies on this list provide sustainable solutions across a broad range of industry groups, including agriculture & food, energy & power, materials & chemicals, resources & environment, and transportation & logistics. While all industry groups were well represented, Energy & Power remained the largest in terms of deals recorded and money invested, with 42 companies on the list.

By enabling safe storage and long-distance transport of hydrogen using the existing infrastructure for liquid fuels, Hydrogenious’ innovative LOHC technology plays a key role in the global energy transition and decarbonization of industries.

We are proud to be part of the Global Cleantech 100 again, and especially honored to be included for the sixth time over the past years, given the high momentum in hydrogen technology innovation,” said Dr Daniel Teichmann, CEO of Hydrogenious LOHC Technologies.

This year’s list includes companies from 21 countries, highlighting the international collaboration and impact of cleantech solutions.  The global nature of the list underscores the importance of all corners of the world addressing shared environmental challenges. Unlike other investment themes, funding for climate solutions has been robust since 2023 and continues to trend upward.

“These innovative companies are driving positive change and are at the forefront of enabling the global transition to a more sustainable future,” said Richard Youngman, CEO, Cleantech Group.  “The Global Cleantech 100 is a recognition of the market’s positive view on their progress to date and their potential impact in building a cleaner, decarbonized world.”
